This picture with this podcast is called "Bored". I wonder why. I should contact the artist and ask "why are you bored?" And "Are you as bored as Bri's brother?" Cause I doubt it... I really doubt it.

We're Back, with Feedback... and lots of it. Some really old. Some not-so-old. Some brand new. It doesn't matter when it's from, it's all feedback. We answer questions (and by we, we mean Deric) that people ask. And some that people don't ask. And some questions we ignore all together.

Also in this podcast... Howl if you will.

And I think you will.

Also, we entertain the idea of picking up from the chicago-LAND area, and put down somewhere else.

We also explain why this show is upwards of 5 days late to publish... eh, what'cha gonna do?

The name of the picture is "Angry Baby Head"... don't think too much about it, it'll make your baby head explode.

We're back! and we're screaming with an "eh" show! Woohoo! It's been a while since an "eh" show. and this one is "eh" and it's finest (or would that be "most eh"?)

Bri and Deric Harrington take to the airwaves like two people that are trying to find their podcast chemistry after a long layoff! Is it worth the wait? NO! But, they promise another episode this week with a little more "umph". Let's wait and see, shall we?

Episode 58: Chunky Blossom

Who doesn't like Chunkys? That's the main topic this week on the number 123 rated podcast on iTunes, Caked On Stripes.

What are we underneith? Other such comedy classics, such as the Red Sox podcast, Bubba Bohacks joke of the day, and AOL sports bloggers live. I'm not making those up, check out the featured podcasts over on iTunes... I mean, I know people don't like the Red Sox, but a comedy podcast about them? I hate to imagine those inside jokes.

On the other hand, Bri and Deric (or, Bri and myself, I write, revealing who I am) talk about only the best of the best, like that movie, The Best of The Best. Only ours has more jokes. and less kicking.

Honestly, we feel this is one of the better shows we've ever done. Tell your friends, get them to try this one out. It's a keeper.

PS: Please add our new sexual term to wikipedia. Thank you.

We're back after a week off, to bring you all the best in "trying to make up for an off week" commentary. Although, Bri feels a little off during the making of this episode, so give her some slack folks. Don't cut her some slack, just give her some. It's much more difficult that way.

This episode, we talk about how we've spent the last two weeks. The trials of putting together a wedding, and other good stuff...

If you're still here, you must have ignored my "piss off" comment. So... why don't you piss off? all your friends are doing it.

Worst case scenario: You're the last one on your street to piss off. Everyone else is at a giant piss off party, and you're not invited. You, feeling alone, go into the kitchen, and stick your head in the oven.

Three hours later, you realize you left the oven off... tired, and not dead, you go to bed.

We can't have that happen, now can we?

Oh yeah, listen to the episode. Love the episode. Just call it in the morning, ok?

This episode (actually) contains Bri and Deric talking about their relationship, as defined by a test. They also go into their weekend in the Wisconsin Dells, among other things. This episode is rated L, for L-wouLdn't you like to know what the L rating means?

This new episode contains strong language, and violence towards Zombies.

Actually, this episode contains referances to the greatest Zombie story ever. Also, it's Voicemail City (located just off the highway next to Circut City). Along with everything else, we also talk about why Ken Schultz came over, only to not do an episode of the show.

Also, Deric's first weekend at the Improv, and why being there caused him to sleep on the couch.

Episode 46: the Cop out Interview

Even though the name of this episode is "the Cop out Interview", I'd have to say that this is the best "cop out" you could get. This cop out is an interview with a friend of Deric and Bri, as well as a fellow comedian, Mr. John Briggs. The picture here is of a man that if you Google search for John Briggs, is on the first page. THIS PICTURE IS NOT THE JOHN BRIGGS WE INTERVIEW!!!! OUR JOHN BRIGGS IN MUCH MORE INTERESTING!!!

John provides a different point of view than Deric and/or Bri... That being, an actual point of view. In fact, he blogs about it here. There will be a more obvious link at the bottom of the page, with the other links, so don't worry if you missed that one.

John talks with Deric and Bri about things no one else has dared to talk about. Such as getting a sinner of a baby baptised. And why the baby is indeed a sinner to begin with. I don't want to give it away, but hearing about the baby made even me blush with embarassment. If you're from John's blog, please poke around and listen to some of our other audio. If you're from the Caked On Stripes area, we encourage you to go to John's blog... See how that works? It's people helping people at a basic level.

OK... We know this episode is up a day late... don't worry, we explain why. We're like that girl that explains it all... Clarissa. Course, I forget the name of the show she was on... oh well.

We give you more of what you want, less of what you don't. We find this works better than the previously tried "give more of what they hate" method, that we only could get so far doing.

There's more rambling on this episode than some of the previous ones. Why? Because in an effort to get the episode out in a semi-timely manner, the editing process has been cut short. Sorry 'bout that.

Episode 42: Bible Time!

Sometimes in life, you see something so compelling, so astonishing, so... religious, that you have to take extra time to make sure you handle all conversations about said item extra carefully.

This is not one of those times.

From the discount bin of a local second hand store, we proudly present: BIBLEMAN! Behold, his ability to quote scripture (without laughing) in a single bound!

He's not really Truth... Not really Justice... Sadly, the american way.

We start Episode 41 with a close up. Of a Child... In a barn... Alone. Crying.

Why is the child crying? Because the Baby Jesus has brought forth an invention, unbeknowst to man, that will change the way people still shit into their mouths forever...

Us, mere mortals, have to call it: CANDY INSIDE OF CANDY.

Cause, when you think of it, you can't spell "Inside" without "die sin".

What does that have to do with the picture? Nothing. The picture just made me laugh.

Episode 35: Bacon, Bagels, and Bumcakes

So, what did happen in this episode? Well, I think the real question is what didn't happen in this episode? On third thought, maybe the real question is what might've happened on this episode? There, that's better...what was I thalking about again?

Rants and raves a plenty, along with knit bits, mail answeringsments, and baby names.

What a generous bounty for such meek audience. I think that deserves a kiss on the cheek, or better yet, a smack on the ass.

Episode 34! We finally made it! 34! Woohoo! To think, everyone thought that once we reached the level of 33, that would be it, it would be impossible for us to continue the show at the rapid... errr... rapidness, that we had established. But no, not to the Caked on Stripes crew. they'll never give up. They're like Rambo, without guns.

THIS EPISODE FEATURES THE RETURN OF A SEGMENT!!!!

I'll let that soak in... but not too long. All this, and Blossom, only from Caked On Stripes.

Welcome, and happy Valentine's Day, 2006.
This Episode features our second guest to the podcast ever, a sibling of Bri, let's call him Nick... cause that's his name.
In this episode, we go over some listener mail, check out what's hip and trendy in the world of knitting, and reveal the secret of life... err... ignore that last one. We're still working on it. Honest. I think we're close, but right now, we're leaning towards "eh, whatever".
As always, all this and more, from Caked On Stripes.

In this episode, there's mayhem! Adventure! Romance! And a little slice of the pie known at irony.

In all seriousness, there's Deric talking about his weekend work, an update on Bri's Masta Plan, a call from a disappointed listener, and the introduction to a little pie known as "Nick"... I don't know what that means either.

All this and less, this week, from Caked On Stripes

touching it too roughly may cause a rash:
Bri's Master Plan

Deric tries to continue

"bitchfest 2006", as Bri and him get into a unplanned argument
Plus, all the other good stuff we fill up each episode with, like a

pastry that can't handle any more goodness...

We're here, we're not queer, our favorite color is clear...
WE'RE

Why should you listen to this one if you've already heard the other 18? Well... I'll tell you. This one is made with the kind of love that's usually saved for a Nambla meeting... that's right... that kind of love.

This week, Bri and Deric tackle the tough issues... like... pogs... and why I used to own some.

Wait, that's not in this episode, I was just drifting... nevermind.
This episode features the debut of a new segment that's not to be missed.

Let's all bow our head and give thanks... I thank You for listening to this dynamic podcast about our past week... What's so interesting about that? Well, in this past week, we:
Nearly Froze to Death
Went to a Buffet
and fought off a giant marshmellow ghost monster type thing, using our cunning... and backpacks that do all the work for us...

Keep an eye out for this space, as we're only 2 weeks away from the newest Musical episode... and holy crap we have some goodies lined up for you.
but that's a ways away...
Howdy Everyone! What a week! It was filled with foam... and... foam like substances.

In this episode, we discuss the pros and cons on Monster energy drink (notice it's never refered to as a beverage). We also discuss the pros and cons of fourth term abortions... which would be... wait, where's my calculator... when the child is 6 months old.

Also, It's the return of DERIC'S TOTALLY USELESS INVENTIONS! And "giant crap in my diapers", it's a good one. Trust me. Also, Feedback from you... well... not you... but those that contacted us... you jive?

Episode 6: Visit the All New Downtown Funkytown

Honest to god, we think this is the best episode we've put out, and we'd be bummed if we didn't get this one out to as many people as we can find, because we think this is quality podcasting at it's best...

look... Ok, we know the last episode wasn't that hot... But this new one... It's like we threw random ingrediants into a kettle, turned it up to 400 degrees, and let it boil... then brought it to a simmer, and now... delicious. Let me tell you about it...

First, we talk about how we will revitalize downtown funkytown... because let's face it, nothing has happened there since the 70's... Sure, maybe the town has been remixed once or twice, but we're dealing with a major overhaul here...

then, Bri'll (love that word, just seems natural) take you on a journey to where she works... it's whimsical... trust me.

Baby names... letter C... need we say more?

We went do Gencon so you don't have to... Gencon is a gaming convention in Indianapolis, IN... So, this is from the point of view of someone that is just getting into games (Deric), and Bri, who plays them, but is not nearly as obsessive.
Along the way, we talk about the odd things we saw there, the beautiful artwork Bri bought there, and other things...

To first time listeners, know this is not our usual show... we reccomend listening to one of the others for an idea of our regular shows...

Let us know what you think!

Welcome to Episode #2 of Caked on Stripes.

In this Episode, we discuss many facinating things, ranging from why creationism actually does work out if you do the math, to part one of our seventeen part series on how to recycle old sticks into a new tree.

Ok... maybe not, for either of those. But what we do discuss is Deric's birthday (runtellthat, my Martin Lawrence friends), along with Bri's nightmare (not for the squeamish), to Deric's Dream job, to potential baby names from around the world.

Please listen to this, it'll make us happy.

Episode One: Shuckin Corn

Welcome, everyone to our humble abode. Out of respect for our white carpet please take off your shoes and mind the rottweiler. Boy are we gonna have fun!

Deric Harrington and myself, (Bri Cowan), are committed to giving you the best pod cast that money can't buy, and that means not too good.

We'll talk about all of your favorite things: raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens... and then after we tape it we'll delete it because all of those things are excrement and we will have decided that putting our show in the hands of you people was suicide.

On a serious note though, I can only be touched when I'm drunk... and the person touching me can't be Deric.

Please let us know what you think of the cast by sending us feedback. We know that you appreciate choice, so you can send feedback to stripedcomic@aol.com or cakedoncomedy@aol.com .

I'm glad we've had this talk. Now get out of my house. Apparently taking off your shoes made no difference to my carpet, for it is soiled. You must be filthy.
